China Yunnan

We are stoked to have this coffee on our menu because Yunnan is a newer region for specialty coffee and the profile is delicious! We were also really glad to see the attention to detail that was taken with this coffee as illustrated by the importers from Showroom Coffee.

"Crop to Cup staff, based in China, works directly with various collectors in the area of Baoshan, in a far western corner of Yunnan Province, near the Myanmar border. Our 2021 import comes from two collectors, Mr. Yi and Mr. Zhang, each sourcing from roughly 100 smallholders around Baihu (White Tiger) Mountain in Longling County. Smallholders – many of them growing on terraced farm plots because of the steep slopes – supply red cherries to each collector’s washing station, where the coffee is floated, washed and dried. Each level of processing is separated out by quality levels to achieve a high level of consistency in the final export product."

This coffee has some nice roasted green tea characteristics and some delicious orangy zinginess
